Pitching Tip of the Week
Be aggressive and throw strike one. When the first pitch is a strike, the hitters' average in an 0-1 count is .111. If you throw ball one, the hitters' average goes up to over .400 at that point. If that is not convincing enough, I do not know what will be. Be relaxed and confident and then execute your pitch. This will set the tone for the at bat as well as the game you bring to the table.

Quote of the Week
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.
Hitting Tip of the Week
Stop squishing the bug! You hear it so much these days. I completely understand that coaches are trying to help young players get rotation. However you are only making them more rotational then they need to be. Hitting is linear and rotational and the rotational part does not start with the back foot. The rotation is in the hips. Yes the back foot will turn as the hips rotate but this is due to the hip rotation. The knee should pinch in giving the hands direction through the zone. At contact, you should see knee to knee. This will allow you to have good rotation around your center line of gravity.
