Stay sharp. Work to keep your competitive edge. Anticipate your competition so that you can avoid hitting the "in case of emergency" button. If you stay ready, then you do not ever have to get ready. Show up every day as if it is your last. These are all ways for you to make sure you are prepared for your opportunities. The second you become complacent is the second you will begin your devastating fall. The reason I say devastating is because these are the falls that are that much more difficult to get back up. If you stay prepared, there is no competition that you can't take on.
Why does someone say something is impossible? Is anything really impossible these days? If it has been done before then it can be done again. If you want to be completely honest with yourself, these are just reasons that we give ourselves not to accomplish something. Impossible allows us to not put in the overwhelming number of hours that it will take to break through and reach our goals. This is difficult to change. We all have reasons and excuses to why we do not accomplish something. Get rid of the word "impossible" and "try" and see where this leads you. I think you will be amazed....
1. Stick to your fundamentals!
Always rely on what you know and the reactions and instincts you have created. If you are not prepared, then quite honestly you already shouldn't be here. There is no plan B. You are going to win with plan A or learn how to make it better.
2. Redefine pressure!
Look at pressure as an opportunity to challenge yourself as opposed to something that might define you i this temporary moment. This is the greatest challenge on earth and you are excited to be the one to overcome it.
You hear this a lot but everything starts with mindset. Tell yourself how great you are. You must believe in the process, crave the outcome and visualize yourself achieving greatness. This is what separates the unstoppable from the great. This must be part of your routine for it to work in pressure situations.
This is not your only shot for success. In fact, this moment will only be temporary. Stay in the moment. Remember that the future is where anxiety comes from and the past creates regret. Breathe and keep yourself in the zone!
First, you need to know that if you have a big enough reason why, you will find and do the how. If not, you will find an excuse. You either do or you don't but there is no in between. Somewhere along this journey, the word "try" has been used to satisfy our minds into believing that enough effort was put forth. Your task may seem difficult, but most likely it is just going to take a lot of well invested time.
Second, understand that winners lose more than losers lose. When you fail, it is your first attempt in learning. Take something away from it and your experience becomes valuable to your development. If you don't, then you most likely are a part of society that believes instant gratification is possible. It is important to focus on what matters, not what is urgent.
Finally, be relentless and become unstoppable. Anyone can be good. Good is you accomplishing what is expected out of you. Great is when you do the unexpected. And unstoppable is when you deliver the miracle. There can be no miracle without a vision. Start seeing it and do not stop until you get there!
