If you need to feel good to perform, you must act differently than you feel. More times than not, you are not going to feel like it. Remember that actions change attitudes, movements change moods, and motions change emotions. You must fake it until you feel it. This means act as if you are a champion and you will start to feel great. This is not something that happens on occasion. You must do it on a reoccurring basis and create quality habits to give yourself the best chance to perform.
If you are someone who needs perform well to feel good, then you need to adjust what you measure. So many people base performance off success and failure but just remember that you get to define this. Break it down further and perform well on the things that you can control. Now your performance will start to change your feelings.
